If you return the car late, a $20 late return fee applies. The easiest way to avoid this is to extend your booking in the app before your time runs out. Please note: extensions aren’t always possible if another driver has already reserved the car after you.

All fines, tickets, and tolls are the responsibility of the driver. They’re passed on to you and charged directly to your card on file.

Every booking includes access to roadside assistance for peace of mind while you’re on the road. If a mechanical issue with the car occurs, RYD will cover the cost of inspection or towing. For situations such as accidents, punctures, or other driver-related issues, any call-out, tow, or repair costs will be charged to you. We’ll arrange the service quickly to keep you safe and get the vehicle taken care of, though please note that onward travel remains your responsibility.
